RoleMapper automatically scores a document as you write and edit it. The score reflects how closely the document follows the rules you’ve set up in the system.
These rules look for things like:
• Missing or incomplete sections
• Use of biased or exclusive language (for example around age, gender, disability, race or religion)
• Overly complex or hard-to-read language
• Long sentences or paragraphs
• Too many requirements or responsibilities
• Use of jargon or language that may discourage certain people
Not all issues affect the score in the same way. Some have a bigger impact than others — for example, a missing section will reduce the score more than a minor wording issue.
RoleMapper also groups issues into two levels of severity:
• Errors, which have a larger impact on the score
• Warnings, which have a smaller impact
Note – Each instance of an issue affects the score, so for example, having multiple long sentences will affect the score more than having just 1.
Your overall document score is based on the number of issues found, how important each issue is, and whether it’s classed as a warning or an error.
As you fix issues, the score improves — but you’ll see bigger improvements when you resolve more serious issues.
