NOTE - Editing job titles is not a permission granted to all organisations or users of RoleMapper. If you don't have this capability and need it please talk to your Implementation Manager at RoleMapper or your local RoleMapper administrator.
Sometimes it is necessary to change the job title of a document, RoleMapper limits the ability to do this in order to protect the integrity of your job database from accidental changes. However this article details the process of changing job titles for those with the relevant permissions.
Changing Job Titles - New Job Title
When you want to change an existing roles title to a totally new job title:
- Navigate to the Job Document and click in to edit it
- Click on the Hierarchy Information in the top panel of RoleMapper
- Select the correct place in the hierarchy
- Click "Add new title", or select an existing title to change to.
- Enter a new title in the "Job Title" box and click "Save".
Changing Job Titles - Amend an Existing Job Title
When you want to change an existing roles title by editing the wording/spelling:
- Navigate to the Main Menu and select "Admin" - "Hierarchy Admin".
- Browse the hierarchy to find the title you wish to change.
- Click the white "i" button next to it.
- Select "Rename" from the menu.
- Enter the amended job title in the "Job Title" box and click "Save".
