Comments can be added to RoleMapper Job Documents at various staged through the document's lifespan.
Adding Comments to Individual Sections
Comments can be added to individual sections using the following steps:
- Hover over a document section and click the "Comment Icon"
- The comment panel will appear on the right-hand side, click to "Add your comment" and click the send arrow
Adding Whole Document Comments
Comments can be added to a document as a whole using the following steps:
- Open the Comments panel from the right hand side
- Click the '+' button in the top left of the comment panel
- Enter your comment and click the send arrow
Tagging in Comments
Tagging allows you to notify people that they have been mentioned in your comment:
- When writing a comment press the '@' key
- You will see a list of all people who can see the current document, you can type their name fully or select them via mouse or keyboard
- When your comment is sent these people will receive an Email and in app notification (once they can see the document)
NOTE - You will see everyone who can see the document at any status, present or future. Users who can't see the document in it's current status will be flagged with a warning triangle. These users will be notified once the document reaches a status where they can see your comment.
Resolving Comments
Resolving comments allows you and others to filter by active and historic comments:
- Open the Comments panel from the right hand side
- Click the 'double tick' button next to any comment thread to mark it as resolved
- You will then have the option to hide or show resolved comments
NOTE - Resolving comments is available for top level comments only. Once you resolve a top level comment all replies will be marked as resolved along with it.
Filtering/Sorting Comments
Filtering allows you to sort by comment status along with the comment author, sorting defines how you will see comments in the comment panel:
- From the comment panel click "Sort" to sort either by Section Order or by Most Recent, default is Section Order
- Click "Filters to show the filter panel where you can toggle resolved and unresolved comments per author in the document, simply tick the comments you wish to see
